Việt Nam, China’s Sichuan promote trade, investment ties
A high-profile conference aimed at bolstering commerce, investment, and trade connectivity between Vietnam and China’s Sichuan province took place in Hà Nội on April 5. This significant event served as a pivotal platform to elevate bilateral cooperation and facilitate the import-export of a wide array of commodities, including farm produce, aquatic products, and pharmaceutical materials.
The conference attracted a distinguished gathering, with representatives from 15 esteemed Chinese enterprises and 60 Vietnamese firms spanning various industries such as manufacturing, import-export, agriculture, pharmaceutical materials, food processing, logistics, construction, and investment.

The conference emphasized the importance of transportation companies and logistics companies.Transportation services provide Vietnamese exporters with access to China’s vast consumer base, allowing them to tap into lucrative business opportunities. By connecting Vietnamese manufacturers and exporters to Chinese buyers and distributors, transportation companies play a critical role in expanding market reach and increasing export sales.
In his inaugural address, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), Le Hoang Tai, hailed the event as a tangible manifestation of the directives set forth by the high-ranking leaders of both Vietnam and China, underscoring the commitment to deepening practical cooperation. It’s an ideal event for shipping company logistics and cargo delivery companies looking to expand their networks and explore international shipping opportunities. This includes a focus on air freight cargo, sea freight cargo and overseas shipments.
Lei Xuejie, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council, elucidated that the current delegation’s visit to Vietnam primarily revolves around participation in an esteemed international trade fair hosted in Hanoi. This event boasts over 30 meticulously curated sessions encompassing diverse sectors such as electronics, healthcare, food, and biotechnological infrastructure.
She affirmed Sichuan’s unwavering commitment to bolstering promotional efforts, connectivity, and collaboration in alignment with the mutual needs of both sides. Lei emphasized that the conference serves as a pivotal avenue for achieving the shared economic objectives of both Vietnam and Sichuan. – VNS
