Export turnover of two agricultural product groups grows three-digit
In March, the export turnover of Vietnam’s agricultural products witnessed a remarkable surge, with several key product groups achieving three-digit growth compared to the previous month. This impressive performance underscores the resilience and competitiveness of the nation’s agricultural sector on the global stage and the efficiency of international shipping and logistics companies operating in Vietnam.
Among the standout performers were cashew nuts and pepper, two of Vietnam’s flagship agricultural exports. The cashew nut industry, in particular, showcased its strength with a staggering 121.6% increase in export volume and a 122.3% surge in export turnover compared to the previous month. In March alone, Vietnam exported an impressive 58,922 tons of cashew nuts, generating a substantial export turnover of US$315.45 million, thanks to the services of leading cargo logistics companies and freight service providers.

The robust performance continued throughout the first quarter, with cashew exports reaching 150,683 tons by the end of March, representing a 35.4% increase in volume and a 24.6% increase in turnover compared to the same period in 2023. This remarkable growth highlights the global demand for Vietnam’s premium cashew nuts and the industry’s ability to capitalize on favorable market conditions, facilitated by efficient cargo delivery companies and logistics services providers.
Pepper, another prominent agricultural export, also experienced a significant surge in March. The export volume reached 25,917 tons, a remarkable 92.7% increase compared to the previous month, while the export turnover soared by 104.8% to US$111.58 million, thanks to the seamless freight and logistics services offered by top international shipping companies.
Beyond cashew nuts and pepper, several other agricultural product groups also contributed to the strong export performance in March and the first quarter. According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, exports of vegetables and fruits, rice, coffee, wood and wooden products, and tea all witnessed impressive growth, further solidifying Vietnam’s position as a global agricultural powerhouse and highlighting the crucial role played by freight forwarding and logistics businesses.
The remarkable export turnover growth in the agricultural sector is a testament to the hard work and dedication of farmers, producers, exporters, and logistics companies across the country. It also highlights the increasing global recognition and demand for Vietnam’s high-quality agricultural products, facilitated by efficient cargo logistics services and air freight cargo operations to key markets like Singapore.
As the world’s appetite for Vietnamese agricultural goods continues to grow, it is imperative for the industry to maintain its focus on sustainable practices, quality control, and value-added processing. By doing so, Vietnam can not only strengthen its position in existing markets but also explore new avenues for growth, ensuring long-term success and prosperity for the nation’s agricultural sector, supported by a robust logistics infrastructure and world-class shipping service companies.
